Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation

About this Course

With the growing emphasis on participatory development, there is an increasing recognition that monitoring and evaluation should also involve active stakeholder participation. Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PM&E) is a dynamic and inclusive approach that enhances the relevance, accountability, and sustainability of development initiatives. By actively involving stakeholders, PM&E ensures that the evaluation process is democratic and that the findings are reflective of the diverse perspectives within the community. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of PM&E methodologies. Participants will learn theoretical foundations, practical tools, and techniques to design, implement, and manage participatory M&E systems effectively. The course aims to build capacity for inclusive, transparent, and empowering evaluation practices that enhance the relevance and impact of development initiatives.
